Our work over the last year
Since April 2019 we have worked with over 290 employers, supporting more than 1000 people into work and apprenticeships.
The Government's Kickstart scheme will pay employers to create new jobs for young people (16-24). Funding will be conditional on you proving that the jobs are new, and are not replacing jobs held by staff who have recently been made redundant. The jobs created must provide a minimum of 25 hours per week, for 6 months. For further information click here.
If you have less than 30 work placements, you can now register your interest in the Kickstart scheme by contacting us.
If you have 30 or more work placements and are interested in participating in the scheme apply online here.
Apprenticeships and you
More and more employers are realising the potential of hiring apprentices and upskilling their existing staff. In fact, 75% of employers reported taking on an apprentice has helped their business to improve the quality of their product and service.
Find out about the different levels and types of apprenticeships you could offer to your new and existing staff at our dedicated apprenticeships page.
The Apprenticeship Levy explained
If you have a payroll of more than £3 million, you will need to pay the Apprenticeship Levy. This is 0.5 percent of your payroll. You can use these funds to pay for all apprenticeship training costs. Find out more about the levy here.
If you do not have a payroll over £3 million, you will not pay the Apprenticeship Levy but you will have to contribute 5% towards the cost of any apprenticeship training within your organisation. To avoid this you can apply for a levy transfer from a levy paying organisation - find out more below.
There are other financial incentives available when taking on an apprentice, please contact us to find out more.
Levy Match Leeds
Receive levy funds from other employers - many organisations we work with do not fully utilise their levy funding. If you are a small-medium employer we can match you with an organisation that can transfer part of their levy funds to you. Find out more and sign up at Levy Match Leeds.
